RICHARD WOUTHUIS
Richard’s acting experience with PP and director Gordon Rowatt goes back 20 years. After roles in 19 community theatre plays, he’s developed a taste for Norm Foster’s frenetic comedies and brings out the funnier side of romance through the character of Maggie’s beau, Russell.
Richard is married and wants to take a father-son Disney trip later this year. Off stage, he’s spent 16 years with Canadian Tire Financial Services as an Account Manager.

LISA SOUTHON – Maggie Duncan
More than 29 actors auditioned for this production of Norm Foster’s Maggie’s Getting Married. It’s a credit to the playwright that so many people want to be part of his work. And it’s a credit to Lisa Southon that she is such a natural fit for the title role of Maggie Duncan.
Lisa says she feels at home on the stage. A child actor in the 80’s, she recently appeared in Lend Me a Tenor and Out of Order with the Aldershot Players. Lisa, her husband, Gerard, and cat, Asha, live in Burlington where Lisa takes dance, yoga and acting classes. She is also writing her first book! Lisa is a Registered Massage Therapist, Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and Acupuncturist.
Welcome home, Lisa.

CATHERINE WARRENER
Where would Peninsula Players be without our current President, Catherine Warrener? You meet her tonight as Maggie’s mom Cass Duncan. For 21 years, she has constantly contributed her energy, passion, and organizing skill as an actor (6 roles), director (6 plays), and executive.
She wanted to be on-stage for PP’s 25th anniversary. How fitting. Catherine is also mom to two adult children, has a love for the arts, and sits on the board of the Grimsby Public Art Gallery. All that, and a career as a sales development rep. with a local utility.

R. MARK TOMLINSON
Community theatre companies don’t grow if they don’t attract new acting talent. We’re particularly pleased to introduce Mark Tomlinson in the role of Maggie’s dad, Tom Duncan, a character he says he resembles (except for the six-figure income).
Married to a Grimsby girl for 33 years, Mark has three artistic children. He was class comedian at grade school and has enjoyed theatre ever since. When he isn’t marrying off Maggie, he’s a busy sales consultant for one of Hamilton’s largest flooring retailers.

AUBREY BOOTHMAN
Aubrey Boothman brings unique comedic gifts to the role of Axel Wilkie. Despite his youth, Aubrey has a lengthy resume of roles in half-a-dozen community theatres, everything from Shakespeare to improv. Add directing experience and skill in carpentry, painting, sound, and lighting, and you have the consummate Peninsula Player, a guy who can contribute everywhere.
Off stage, Aubrey still wears multiple hats: pub musician, self-employed renovator, and family man.

DIRECTOR, GORDON ROWATT
Gordon is one of the key reasons Peninsula Players is still entertaining audiences after 25 years. Beginning in his native Scotland, he’s been in theatre for more than 50 years for over 160 productions. He began directing for PP in 1984, and, by our count, Maggie’s Getting Married is his 19th show for us, an enviable record of grace under pressure and keeping one’s cool.
A retired Latin teacher, Gordon also maintains a strong involvement with Thorold Theatre. He’s an avid gardener, a magician in the kitchen, and goes back to Scotland most years.
